21 Duy Tan University students study abroad at Korean partner school

21 DTU students studied abroad at Chungbuk National University, Kyung Hee University, Sejong University, and Dong-A University through the joint program.

In particular, 8 excellent students came to Korea on March 1 to study the CBNU G-Cruit Program and the 3+2 Joint Training Program at Chungbuk National University.

Another 11 students will go to Chungbuk National University, Kyung Hee University, Sejong University and Dong-A University after being admitted to the Student Exchange program, studying for one year and transferring grades in their respective modules between the two schools.

In addition, two DTU students received the Global Korea Scholarship. This is a full support program for international students who wish to study at leading universities and research institutes in Korea.

The 3+2 Joint Undergraduate and Master's Degree Program will be jointly implemented by DTU and Chungbuk National University starting May 29, 2024. Following this collaboration, earlier this year, the Korean University continued to implement the CBNU G-Cruit Scholarship for outstanding graduate students of DTU.

To be admitted to these programs, students must meet the English language proficiency requirement, achieve a GPA of 3.2/4.0 or higher. Students enrolled in this program are 100% tuition fee waiver during the two years of study at Chungbuk National University. In which, in the first three years of study, students study at DTU, two years later study in Korea, including the first 6 months of studying the remaining modules in the program of the Vietnamese school and 1.5 years of post-study to obtain a Master's degree from Chungbuk National University.

After 5 years of completing the 3+2 Joint Training Program for undergraduate and master's degrees, the CBNU G-Cruit Program, students received a bachelor's degree from DTU and a master's degree from Chungbuk National University, increasing their competitiveness in the international labor market.

Admitted to the CBNU G-Cruit Program, Phan Hoang Long, a student majoring in CMU Standard Software Technology, shared that he learned about the program and scholarships of Chungbuk National University through participating in the InCiTE Summer School program. Realizing that this was a valuable opportunity, she took the initiative to learn more and contact Dr. Nguyen Duc Man - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Training to register for admission.

What makes the boy determined to pursue this program is the opportunity to research early, study in an international environment at a reasonable cost and dream of becoming a lecturer and scientist in the future.

"This will be an important stepping stone to help me connect with leading professors, write international newspapers and especially, will receive a master's degree with global value, opening the door to doctoral scholarships in the future," Long added.

According to Long, her journey at DTU has helped her grow up, from the spirit of proactivity in learning, the ability to use English to practicing soft skills such as teamwork, time management and effective communication. All of this helps boys be more confident when entering the international environment.

DTU and Chungbuk National University established a partnership with the Student Exchange Program starting in 2018. Up to now, more than 50 DTU students have come to study in Korea, while more than 10 students from Chungbuk have also come to DTU to experience the Vietnamese educational environment. In addition, the two universities promote scientific research cooperation, including the project "Understanding the indeterminate root biomass of medicinal plants in bio-reactor systems and secondary compound analysis".
